Extra Care’s NVQ Awards Ceremony at The Clinton Centre

Careworkers from Extra Care’s Enniskillen office were presented with their NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care Qualifications at the Clinton Centre on 1st September 2008.

Colum Conway, Chief Executive, Extra Care and Anna Shortt from the Southern Regional College presented each of the Careworkers with their certificates, City & Guilds Badges and bouquet of flowers.

Prior to presenting the awards, Anna said “Extra Care does tremendous work in the community and stressed the importance of a skilled workforce in the delivery of care.”

Colum Conway congratulated the careworkers and their families in gaining NVQ Level 2 and stressed Extra Care’s commitment in providing high quality care in the Western Health and Social Care Trust area.

Colum said ‘’Extra Care has embarked on a planned process of NVQ training for all its Careworkers throughout Northern Ireland over the coming years. The Enniskillen group was the first to complete the training. This is part of an overall strategy to support continuous practice and professional development throughout the organization’’.
